Yu Jianming

Dr. Jianming Yu – Executive Co-founder & Managing Partner

Dr. Jianming Yu is the Managing Partner of the fund manager of New Horizon Capital, a private equity fund which he co-founded in June 2005. Prior to that, Dr. Yu worked with McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles, where he focused on financial services, biotech/medical devices and pharmaceutical practices. He has developed a wealth of experience in

merger and acquisition, state-owned enterprise restructuring and direct investment. He has successfully led a number of investments in the well-known domestic enterprises such as Goldwind, Sinovel, Kingsoft, Cathay Biotech, Zoomlion, Meihua Biotech, and Shineway Group etc.. Dr. Yu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Tsinghua University, a Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University, and an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
